TH 469 Theatre Senior Thesis

The Theatre Senior Thesis course is for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre majors, and must be taken during students’ final semester as a senior, or spring in an anticipated summer graduation. This course is an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they have learned during their years at Athens State University, as well as to have a focused experience in their specific field of study. Upon successful completion of this course, students will understand how to formulate a thesis, create a casebook to document their work, collect, assess and integrate research into a critical essay, and present their project orally and before peers and the public. This class will also increase students’ awareness of their understanding of theatre as a form of artistic expression and help them develop a portfolio to assist them in their specialized professional endeavors.
