TH 457 Materials and Methods for Theatre Education 6-12

Materials and Methods for Theatre Education is intended to prepare students to teach drama and theatre as an educational subject for grades 6-12.  In this course, students will learn pedagogical approaches to linking dramatic literature, acting exercises, and play production into the active laboratory of classroom learning.  Students will be encouraged to take a broad inquisitive view of what it means to introduce and utilize theatre in the classroom, while also considering the challenges associated with producing a school play at an educational institution.
