TH 456 Theatre for Young Audiences: Materials and Methods for Theatre Education P-5

Theatre for Young Audiences:  Materials and Methods for Theatre Education is intended to prepare students to teach drama and theatre as an educational subject for grades P-5.  In this course, students will learn pedagogical approaches to linking dramatic literature, acting exercises, and play production into the active laboratory of classroom learning.  Students will be encouraged to take a broad inquisitive view of what it means to introduce and utilize theatre in the elementary level classroom, while also considering the challenges associated with producing a school play at a primary educational institution.
