TH 442 Hand Rendering for the Stage

This course will concentrate on the process and skills of creating graphics and rendering using the hand.  Although some techniques will utilize the advantages of digital rendering, the focus will be on mechanical drafting, drop point perspective, and improving hand drawing.  Students will complete drawing assignments for each class and then develop different techniques to improve their ability to communicate ides in theatre.  Developing hand drafting, drawing, and rendering skills will not only improve a student's ability to create and communicate design ideas for the stage, but also improve their reception with future colleagues and employers.
