HY 315 20th Century Europe

(Fulfills General Education Area IV History). (Satisfies the European requirement for a B.A. or minor in history as well as elective requirement for the minor and Non-American History for a B.S. in Social Science.) The major themes of the course are the rise and demise of totalitarian dictatorships, the continued spread of democracy, the appearance of the welfare state, and the general improvement of the European standard of living since 1918.
