ER 319 Literacy and Literature for the Young Child

Also listed as CE 319. Field Experience is required. Course requirements include mandatory campus-based training. Consult the College of Education Calendar of Events Webpage for more information. Emphasis is given to teaching Language Arts and literature to ESL students. This course examines methods and materials for planning, implementing, and assessing developmentally and culturally appropriate language arts and literature curricula for early childhood education. Emphasis will be on developing the process skills for facilitating emergent literacy, early writing, listening, and speaking, as well as teaching language arts and literature.
