Management of Cybersecurity Operations provides the measures that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. These measures include providing for restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities. When paired with the minor in Information Systems Management, the Management of Cybersecurity Operations major is designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) with the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). To be designated a CAE-CD, the program undergoes an exhaustive review by the NSA and DHS to ensure the program meets cyber defense and cyber governance industry and Department of Defense (DoD) practices.
