A major in Aerospace Systems Management has two areas of possible concentration: Aviation and Space Systems. Aviation is designed for those students pursuing a commercial pilot or aircraft mechanic career path. Space Systems is for those students aiming at a management career in space exploration. Typical occupations where this major could apply are commercial airline pilot; airport manager; aviation maintenance manager; space mission planning, control, and communications; aerospace project management; aircraft/aerospace manufacturing manager/supervisor; and avionics and aircraft/spacecraft systems.
