This course is designed for the purpose of providing Physical Education majors with an opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of physiological concepts associated with human performance. The course will provide the candidate with background, meaning, and significance associated with the bodys ability to adjust to the demands of physical activity. A number of human performance topics will be considered, including the impact of physical activity on the cardiovascular system, the muscular system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, and the endocrine system. It is designed to allow for the utilization of technology in the preparation of daily assignments, lab assignments, data analyses, and class presentations.
