Lab Fee. (BL) Transmedia storytelling is the practice of designing, sharing, and participating in a cohesive story experience across multiple traditional and digital delivery platforms - for entertainment, advertising and marketing, or social change. An interactive narrative offers a pre-specified story or choice to the audience, allowing them to influence the plot. In this course, students work in groups to develop and deliver interactive narratives and transmedia stories using new technologies and distribution platforms. Students consider a wide range of production techniques including writing, sound design, film, photography, theatre, art and new media. Students work in teams to design a strategy for developing an interactive narrative or transmedia story.
