This minor is open to students in all majors except for students in the Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Technology: Computer Networking major options. Please consult course descriptions for possible prerequisites.

CS 317 and Sufficient score on Placement Exam: Students who have completed CIS 251 C++ Programming or the equivalent may take a placement exam. Following the policy in place for students majoring in Computer Science or Information Technology, the CS 317 requirement (zero hours awarded) may be waived provided a sufficient score is achieved on this exam.
