CE 570 Community College Organization and Leadership

This course offers an overview of the American community college, with particular emphasis on the history, philosophy, and uniqueness of these institutions. State and local governance and finance are also examined. This course is designed for individuals who hold, or aspire to, key leadership and supervisory positions in a community college or for others who seek to learn more about the comprehensive nature of these institutions and their role in the post-secondary knowledge industry. This course will also examine recent developments in, and projections for the future of, the American community college.
