Athens State Graduates

Master of Accountancy

The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program will provide students with advanced knowledge and a diverse set of skills in current, developing, and emerging accounting topics. The program will help accelerate students’ careers and prepare them to pursue leadership positions in public accounting, industry, government, and not-for-profit organizations. The MAcc helps prepare students for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination and to meet the 150-credit hour requirement for CPA certification in Alabama and many other states. It also provides a solid foundation to pursue other professional accounting certifications, such as the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential. Flexible and affordable, the program features a high-quality, cutting-edge curriculum and a uniquely-qualified faculty with industry experience and professional certifications that combine to bring the real world into the courses.
