Students earning the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in History must satisfy all general University requirements and meet all financial obligations before a degree is awarded.

At least one literature course: Students must complete a 6 hour sequence in either Literature (Area II) or History (Area IV).

At least one history course: Students must complete a 6 hour sequence in either Literature (Area II) or History (Area IV).

The history major should complete a 6 hour sequence in history in addition to satisfying the Area IV requirement: Western Civilization, World History, or United States History.
