PS 331 Social Psychology

Fulfills General Education Area IV Social/Behavioral Science. This course presents an in-depth survey of theory, research findings, and research methods pertaining to how the individual's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the real or imagined presence of others. Understanding and critical analysis of primary research is emphasized with the goal of developing critical thinking skills. Topics include the self, person perception, attitudes and attitude change, interpersonal attraction and intimate relationships, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination, and prosocial behavior.
