EH 401 Multicultural Communication

(Fulfills General Education Area II Humanities). (This course will satisfy the general speech requirement. It will not satisfy a literature requirement.) Contemporary educators and business leaders work with diverse populations, which necessitates learning about communication practices in order to address conflict arising from misunderstandings across cultural groups. This course will explore communication from a variety of cultural perspectives and examine specific examples such as code-switching, conflict resolution, problem solving, and mediation.
